How Do I Get My Orchid To Re-Bloom

orchid-bloomNumber one: Sunlight! For growing and blooming Moth Orchids in the Mid-Atlantic States, they need direct sun.  An east facing window that receives one to two hours of direct sun is perfect.  Filtered (like through a shear curtain) south or west will also work, but you want to bathe the plant in very, very bright light for at least half of the day.  If you have low-e glass, south or west is probably preferred.  The light should be bright enough on a sunny day to make you squint.
